October 2019 marks the tenth anniversary since the inception of the formal sustainability programs at Saint Paul RiverCentre and Xcel Energy Center campus. Over the past ten years, the facilities have focused on seven areas of sustainability: Waste, Energy, Water, Air Quality, Purchasing, Transportation and Community.

Ten years later, the organization celebrates being LEED Platinum Certified, making Xcel Energy Center the first NHL venue in the nation with this certification and Saint Paul RiverCentre one of the first convention centers in the nation with this certification story.

This is the tenth annual sustainability summary in which the facilities highlight the events, achievements and overall progress of the past year at Saint Paul RiverCentre and Xcel Energy Center. The organization believes that measurable goals and being transparent are vital to an effective sustainability program.
