Every year on Earth Day, our employees gather together and volunteer to clean up the banks of the Mississippi River in our backyard of Saint Paul through the Adopt-a-River program. This year, we went to Lilydale Regional Park with over 25 employees and picked up more than 1,000 pounds of debris from the park, including metal scraps, gutters, and more.
Protecting our local waterways is an important tenet of our organization. The venues that we manage (Xcel Energy Center, Saint Paul RiverCentre, and Roy Wilkins Auditorium) look out to the riverbanks of the Mississippi, and these Minnesota water ways also service as some of the first rinks that young hockey players learn to skate. We are proud of the impact our employees have made on this critical waterway. Since 2015, we have removed over 12,000 pounds of debris from the banks of the Mississippi River.
