View All NewsSustainability has been a top priority for Saint Paul RiverCentre and Xcel Energy Center for nearly a decade. The organization believes that measurable goals and being transparent are vital to an effective sustainability program.
This is the ninth annual sustainability summary in which the facilities highlight the events, achievements, and overall progress of the past year at Saint Paul RiverCentre and Xcel Energy Center.
The facilities made notable progress this year, from committing to a 25-year agreement to purchase energy generated by a solar garden, to traveling to Bulgaria to represent the Green Sports Alliance at the 2018 European Union Sport Forum, to being recertified with APEX-ASTM – a third-party standard providing an events-specific roadmap toward more environmentally responsible operation.
Saint Paul RiverCentre and Xcel Energy Center have, and will continue to, engage the community and the events industry to help define what it means to host environmentally responsible events.
